Eiichiro sunk back into the soft dark leather of his office chair seconds before the first knock came at the door. Having just sat down and not wanting to get back up too soon, his only reaction was a slightly irritable and horribly generic; “Come in, the doors open”. During his first week as the latest in the disturbingly long line of previously unsuccessful Kazekages, he had spent all his time in his office planning everything he was going to do and living off brief power naps and month-old blood packets to keep what little sanity he still had left. Now he was sitting side on, twiddling a pen between his pale fingers and waiting for Kitsuke to explain to him why someone he had never seen before suddenly wanted to see him. To tell the truth all he wanted was for them to go away and come back tomorrow, or the day after. Judging by the amount of light coming through the blinds it was still early morning, no later than four o’ clock. Not his first choice of times to be sitting up chatting to people who had appeared outside his door...
