Maneki VS Genkou

((This battle will be moderated by Ryusaki.))

((You go first, Maneki.))

(my post will be up in a bit. I must psych myself up to make good posts on the wii.)

Maneki was excited and worried at the same time. He was going to be fighting a skilled shinobi from his own village,but he was fighting Genkou The one-tailed jinchuriki of the sand. Maneki knew much about Genkou which made him doubt his chances of winning. Luckily for this tournament the area for him and Genkou to fight in was setup so they frought on equal ground. parts of the area were grass, trees,sand'stone and water.

Maneki began to prepare for the up coming fight. He made sure he had his leg blades,his water gourd filled with chakra enhanced water,the Neko clan ice blade,his kunai exploding tags and flash bombs and his blade destiny which was with him but not out. Maneki set some exploding tags in the grass,earth and sand area with some flash bombs set with them to go off right before the explosion. Being as ready as he would ever be he drew his ice blade,infused wind chakra in it and took a defensive stance. Adrenalin was beginning to course through him in anticipation of the fight that was about to erupt.

In an unrecognized feat, a young man walked peacefully into the arean, hearing the crowds making noise from above. A small swarm of birds began to fill the clear open blue sky, singing and chirping, filling the quiet air with cheerful sounds. The sun glittered on the clear blue crystilline water and leaves scattered about as the wind carried them. Genkou stood peacefully, arms folded across his chest, as the light windy breeze flowed through his clothes and hair. He was wearing weird colored garments and his Sunakagure metal affiliation plate hung attached to his right sash. A large sand gourd hung on his back, and since he was used to its weight, to him the gourd wasn't very heavy at all. He had dark red-brownish hair, and black lines around his eyes as if he hadn't slept in years. This young man took the name of Genkou. Genkou seemed to look around seventeen, and was around 5'7. His gaze was focused on the boy in front of him, Maneki Neko, his first opponent. He had known Maneki, since they both were ninja of Sunagakure. The large sand gourd on his back, slowly began to leak out small grains of sand. The small amount of sand then began to swirl around Genkou in a circular motion. "Let us begin." Genkou said, as more sand leaked out of the gourd into every last grain swirled around him in a circular motion.

Genkou watched as Maneki manipulated the water from his gourd and sprouted forty yards into the air. "What the heck is he doing?" Genkou thought, watching as Maneki jumped from block to block. The boy then stopped when he was about thirty yards in the air. As the boy threw two exploding kunai at him, Genkou caught them while they were still fifteen feet in the air with his sand. This action caused them to explode, but were to far to cause even damage to Genkou. He then bent over and pressed his relaxed hand against the ground in front of him. After two minutes, the surrounding area started to turn into fresh, dry sand. So he was now had ten yards of extra surrounding sand to use. Genkou then preformed a set of handseals, creating a small river of mud. The river of mud was somewhat a few yards away from the sandy ground, to prevent it from mixing with it. Then a large dragon-like head sprouted from the mud river and shot concentrated mud at Maneki.

Maneki took notice at how Genkou had turned some of the area surrounding him into sand. After making sand he watched as genkou made what looked like a river of mud. Then when he throught Genkou was done he watched as he made dragon head out of mud and fired it at Maneki. Maneki knew he had a few options on what to do about the attack so he went with the less chakra consuming method. Maneki moves some of his gourd water into a platform like one one he was already 10 yards under where he was already standing. He then moved the water he was on in his gourd and started to fall. Luckily he landed perfectly on the water and the dragon head mud rock thing missed Maneki. Seeing that Gen was close to the grass part of the arena he dicided to activate the flashbomb and exploding tag he placed their,but first Maneki charged charged wind chakra into his sword and slashed in Genkous direction. A sword slash shaped wind jutsu was now heading towards Genkou and at that moment Maneki activated his flashbomb and exploding tag located in the grass near Genkou.


(note:flashbomb activates right before exploding tag and sry wii no has copy paste so if you need to look up the jutsu it should be on my current jutsu making topic)

Genkou watched as Maneki dodged the mud bullets by jumping down a few feet. He had planned to use the jutsu as a distraction while he formed his cocoon. As the surrounding sand began to form into a sphere, the boy as he sent out his sword and slashed a blade of wind at him. Then, within the blink of an eye, a bunch of explosions set out all around him. However, by time the explosions set off, most of the cocoon was finished, thus keeping him safe. When the smoke had began to clear, the boy would see a large cocoon in the place where Jounin was. ”Where did those explosions come from?! He must have hid a few explosives all over the arena before I made my appearance. Genius.” Genkou thought. He then created a third eye straight above the cocoon, to see what else the boy had planned. The ground beneath the arena began to shake, causing a small earthquake. Within a few minutes, the whole arena was covered in sand, excluding the small pond at the edge of the arena. As soon as this happened, three thin strings of sand sprouted from the ground and made their way towards Maneki. Immediately, some of the sand rose up from the ground and hardened into a solid boulder. The boulder broke into several smaller pieces and made their way towards Maneki. However, three of the boulders retreated and began to orbit the cocoon. The three boulders then broke into twelve smaller pieces the size of a tennis ball. As the other four made their way towards Maneki, the lead boulder exploded. The cloud of sand created from the explosion provided the other three boulders with coverage.

((The sand would have made contact with you first, since they are much faster than the boulders. Remember how Gaara used his sand to chase Deidara all over Sunagakure? Yea, that is what I'm sort of doing with you. Your timing is a little off in your post, in my opinion. Don't make any edits until Ryu checks your post.))

your timing was slightly off maneki the attacks moved much faster than that
