A shadow fell over teh pitch, slowly growing as a lone figure made his way down teh long, dark corridor. No more than a few metres ahead of him was a rectangle of bright light, through it he could hear teh hushed silence of teh crowd as Hirokai announced teh next fight. Eiichiro stopped, taking two black leather, fingerless gloves from his back pocket. Breathing deeply he pulled them over his hands and grasped teh hilt of his katana. teh light ahead of him was growing fast as he neared teh doorway. Suddenly blinding sunlight washed over him and teh hushed silence of teh crowd broke into a screaming applause. All around him teh audience cheered and whistled, jostling to get a better view of teh impending battle. Strands of teased ebony hair fell over his face as he sauntered up to teh spot where Hirokai had been standing moments earlier, swords clinking together metallically as they were loosened in their sheaths. On teh other side of teh barren pitch was another doorway identical to teh one he had appeared from seconds ago. Inside someone was walking out, through teh darkness he could just make out teh glint of their eyes as they too noticed teh presence of their opponent. Eiichiro fastened his grip on teh hilts of his katana and raised his head to meet teh second man's gaze as he broke out into teh daylight and noise of teh stadium.
